Meet Simon Gregg

Simon Gregg entered his first SCCA-sanctioned race in 1994, driving a Chevrolet Camaro in the A-Sedan class at Road Atlanta. The all-white car carried the number 59, made famous by Simon's father, the legendary Peter Gregg.

In 1995, Simon added the signature red and blue stripes his father made famous with his storied Brumos Racing team.

Simon finished a respectable sixth place in the rain at his first race, going on to win the 1995 and 1996 SCCA Southeast division championships. Since then, Simon has racked up an impressive list of starts, wins and milestones.

Today, Simon races two cars with the SCCA-sanctioned TransAm Series Presented by Pirelli. In the TA series, he drives a 2800-pound 5.8 L, 850 HP 2020 Camaro, with a 5-speed manual transmission. He took home the 2012 TransAm Series Championship and finished third in points in the 2020 season.

Simon also drives in the TransAm GT series, sporting a 3100-pound, 6.2 L, 550 HP Mercedes AMG, with a 5-speed Semi-Auto Transmission. In 2020, he won the TransAm Series GTX Championship.

Simon also is the founder of Peter Gregg Foundation, a not-for-profit mission to find, train and support future performance sports car mechanics and engineers. Learn more about Peter Gregg Foundation here.
